Philosophy
We believe that landscape design should not only complement the home's architecture but actually create the areas of your home which you’ll use the most. At the forefront of Roots First design projects is an appreciation for clean lines, quality materials, creative planting palettes, and of course, the people who use them.
Our Process
We will walk the property with you and discuss your vision and goals for the project. We will explore your objectives, budget and key design elements. Following this meeting we will submit a design proposal for your consideration.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Following your acceptance of the proposal, we begin designing your garden. Our first presentation to you will be a hand drawn and colored conceptual plan with a focus on space planning and highlighting major design elements. We gather and present inspiration images and sketches to help tell the story of our design. Following your acceptance of the concept, we provide you with the detailed landscape design plans for hardscaping, planting, and lighting.
CONCEPTS & CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
About midway through the design detailing process we will provide an estimate for construction, and will offer any value engineering advice as needed to reach your desired budget.
CONSTRUCTION PROPOSAL
Construction
We love having the opportunity to take your design and make it a realty. We have surrounded ourselves with talented builders and craftsman who are passionate about their process and work to deliver well-executed construction. We firmly believe in transparency throughout the building process and collaboration with you. We provide a schedule for every project with milestones to keep you updated on our progress. Our goal is to enhance your property and create spaces that you and your family will enjoy for years. Following construction, we will schedule a garden walk with you on its one-year anniversary to see how we did.
